If your vehicle registration expires on or after October 1, you now have the option to purchase a Discover Pass from the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) when you renew your license tabs.
The new pass is your ticket to more than 7 million acres of recreation lands managed by DNR, Washington State Parks, and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. These lands include parks, trails, wildlife and natural areas, and water access sites.
You may purchase the pass at a DOL vehicle licensing office or when renewing your tabs online at www.dol.wa.gov. Transaction and dealer fees are not charged for annual passes purchased directly from DOL.
DOL began mailing notices this month to vehicles owners whose registration renewal is in October.
Learn more about the renewal option for purchasing the Discover Pass from news release #11-053 on the Washington State Parks website.
For more information, including other options for purchasing the pass, where you’ll need it, and more, visit www.discoverpass.wa.gov or call 866-320-9933.
